Travel Price Check Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 25, 2026
Travel Price Check (the "App") helps users record trip spending and estimate tax-free status, exchange conversion, and DCC comparisons. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the App.
Trip, purchase, and settings data are handled mainly as local data on your device. For Trip Pass purchase and restore, Sign in with Apple and RevenueCat may be used for purchaser ID linking, purchase status checks, fraud prevention, and support.
1. Information Stored on Your Device
The App mainly stores the following information on your device:
- Trip names, dates, budgets, display currencies, card fee settings, exchange-rate caches, refresh history, and similar settings
- Purchase history, store names, amounts, categories, payment methods, notes or item names, information needed for tax-free estimates, and receipt images saved with purchases
- CSV export files and export history when you export data. CSV files include purchase dates, store names, amounts, currencies, tax labels, categories, payment methods, notes or item names, and similar purchase details
If device backup, cloud backup, or device transfer is enabled, app data and exported CSV files may be stored or restored outside the device according to the OS, device manufacturer, or backup service settings.
2. Camera and OCR
Receipt images are temporarily processed on your device for text recognition. They are not uploaded to an external server for OCR.
After recognition, the temporary capture file is deleted. Only when you save a purchase, a receipt image copy is stored on your device as purchase evidence.
The App stores purchase information that you review and save, such as amount, store name, and date, plus receipt images linked to saved purchases.
3. External Communication
When fetching exchange rates, the App sends minimal request data, such as currency codes, to api.frankfurter.dev. External services may receive network information such as IP address to the extent necessary to process requests.
At this time, the App does not use ad SDKs, analytics SDKs, tracking such as IDFA, or its own account sync service.
4. In-App Purchases
When purchase features such as Trip Pass are enabled, payment is handled by Apple/App Store, and purchase status checks and restores use RevenueCat. The App does not collect or store card numbers or other payment information.
For Trip Pass purchase confirmation, restore, fraud prevention, support, and purchase status review, product IDs, purchase status, transaction identifiers, RevenueCat purchaser IDs, in-app account identifiers, and similar information may be processed by Apple/App Store and RevenueCat.
If you use Sign in with Apple, the App may store the user identifier, email address, name, and similar information provided by Apple for purchase restore and account linking. Email address and name are stored only when Apple provides them.
5. CSV Sharing
When you share a CSV file, the purchase history file is passed to the app or service you choose. After sharing, handling of the data is governed by the selected app or service's terms and privacy policy.
6. External Websites
The App may open external websites when you choose to view airport guidance or official reference information. External website content, availability, and data handling are controlled by each website operator.
7. Ads, Analytics, and Tracking
At this time, the App does not use ad SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking such as IDFA.
The App does not sell personal information or share it for advertising purposes. If this policy changes in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated.
8. Processing Outside Your Country or Region
Apple/App Store, RevenueCat, exchange-rate providers, and apps or services you share with may process data outside your country or region of residence.
9. Deletion and Retention
Purchase history, trip data, and CSV export files can be deleted using in-app delete actions or device file management. Sign in with Apple linking information can be disconnected from Account Management.
When you uninstall the App, app data stored on the device is removed according to the operating system behavior.
Information retained by App Store, RevenueCat, or services you share with is handled according to each service's terms, privacy policy, and deletion procedures.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 or to children who require parental consent under the laws of their country or region. The App does not knowingly collect children's personal information.
11. Contact
To request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or similar handling of data, contact us through the support URL listed on the App Store or the App's support channel.
12. Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect feature additions, service changes, legal requirements, or App Store requirements.
